Finally some good news! Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of a roadmap out of the Covid restrictions, we have a date for re-opening the studio on 12th April. George has been busy booking in sittings for the restart and we are so excited to be welcoming people back again.
In February we’ve nearly completed the upgrading of the reception area. We have clad one wall using reclaimed timber and painted another a magnificent plum colour. The hallway and studio area have been redecorated too. The final touch will be hand painting inspiring quotes from Steve’s photographic heroes.
Kick-starting the business again after such a long series of closures will be a challenge. To help get the ball rolling, we have created a family offer which includes a complimentary photoshoot and a £100 gift certificate. This is of greater value than our normal promotions purely because we want to fill the studio again, and it will be limited to a short period for that reason.
Steve had the honour of being nominated in the Wedding Day category of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photography 2020 international awards in February. The winner was Giuseppe Correnti from Italy with a truly wonderful image. He did get a rather nice consolation with a 6-page feature of his photographs in the Professional Image Maker Magazine.
