The Stoke Road Platinum Jubilee Festival 2022

The Platinum Jubilee was celebrated here in Gosport on Saturday 4th of June with a massive outside festival visited by over 5000 local residents.
The road was divided into the seven decades of Her Majesty’s reign with the 50’s starting at The White Hart and 2000’s at the eastern end.
Musicians and street performers entertained our visitors and traders and churches threw open their doors to welcome in the local community.
All street entertainment was free to the community thanks to a generous Awards for All grant from the National Lottery.

The festival was organised by the Stoke Road Community Group which is a coalition of local traders and community groups which promoted community engagement. We at Blitz were proud to be able to assist.
