Welcome to Our New Blog Space
If you’ve found your way here, there’s a good chance you’re curious about boudoir photography.
Perhaps you’ve been thinking about having a boudoir photoshoot but you’re not quite sure whether it’s for you. Maybe you’ve already booked and suddenly have a hundred questions about what to wear, what happens on the day and whether you really do need to know how to pose.
Or perhaps you’ve already had your experience with us and want a little inspiration for choosing, displaying and enjoying your photographs.
Whatever brought you here, welcome.
We’ve created this blog to be a place where we can talk openly and honestly about boudoir photography - without the pressure, perfection or unrealistic expectations that can sometimes surround it.
Real women. Real experiences.
One of the things we’ve learned from photographing women over the years is that there really isn’t a ‘type’ of woman who has a boudoir photoshoot.
Women come to us at different ages, different sizes and at completely different points in their lives.
Some are celebrating a milestone birthday. Some have experienced a big change in their life or their body. Some have spent years looking after everybody else and have decided it’s finally time to do something for themselves.
Others simply think, I’d love to do this.
And that is reason enough.
We want to share some of those real stories here because sometimes the best reassurance doesn't come from us telling you that you can do it. It comes from hearing from another woman who was every bit as nervous as you might be — and discovering what happened when she walked through our studio door.
The questions you really want answered
We’ll also use this space to answer the questions we hear all the time.
What should I wear?
Do I have to wear lingerie?
What if I hate having my photograph taken?
Will you tell me how to pose?
Am I too old?
What if I’m not confident about my body?
What actually happens during a boudoir photoshoot?
And what happens afterwards?
There are no silly questions. If it's something you're wondering about, there's a very good chance somebody else is wondering about it too.
We'll give you straightforward, practical advice based on what actually happens in our studio — not what we think a boudoir experience should be like.
Already booked? This space is for you too.
This isn't just a blog for women who are deciding whether to book.
If your photoshoot is already in the diary, we'll be sharing plenty to help you prepare and enjoy the build-up to your experience.
We'll talk about clothing and lingerie, preparing for your session, hair and make-up, what to bring, what happens when you arrive and those completely normal pre-photoshoot nerves.
We'll also take you beyond the photoshoot itself, including what happens at your Design Consultation, choosing your favourite photographs and the different ways you can enjoy them in your home.
And sometimes, we'll simply share something lovely.
Not every post needs to answer a Google search.
Sometimes we might share a client's story that we think deserves to be told. A beautiful piece of Wall Art that's just arrived at the studio. Something that happened during a photoshoot that made us smile. Or a thought that comes from the conversations we have with the women who trust us to photograph them.
Because for us, boudoir photography has never just been about taking beautiful photographs.
It's about the person in them.
So whether you're just beginning to wonder“Could I actually do this?”, counting down the days until your photoshoot, or already have your photographs at home, we hope you'll find something here that's useful, reassuring, inspiring — or simply enjoyable to read.
Welcome to our new blog space.
We’re really glad you found us.
