Your baby’s first few weeks go by in the blink of an eye. Newborn baby photography helps you treasure these moments forever.

To answer your questions, and put your mind at rest:

Safety First
- We have a specially equipped studio for Newborn Photography.
- Blitz has ten years of newborn photography experience
- Qualified Newborn Certification with the Master Photographers Association.
- Enhanced testing covering safe baby handling, posing, health and safety as well as having all the appropriate insurances.

When to Book
- The best period for newborn photography is in the first two weeks, when babies are at their most sleepy.
- We recommend booking after your 20 week scan – or call as soon as you can to reserve a floating date.
- We will be in contact around your baby’s due date to confirm a suitable date once baby has arrived.
- If your baby has already arrived, contact us and we’ll find a space in the diary.

Had a long stay in hospital?
- Sometimes babies or mums must stay in hospital for a few days or weeks - we can still take beautiful photographs of your new baby, who may just be awake for more of your visit!

For everyone’s comfort
- Newborn sessions can last up to 4 hours, to get those perfect shots – and to allow for changing, feeding and cuddles.
- Bring a supply of baby milk, nappies and spare clothes for baby and for yourself - it’s not uncommon to get weed on!
- We have baby changing facilities and a quiet feeding area for you and your little one(s).
- Our large temperature-controlled studio means we can easily photograph babies with mums, dads and siblings – a family affair!
- Parking is easy in the free Jamaica Place car park, a minute’s walk away.

Newborn (Floating Date)

It's time to reserve your Newborn Portrait Date. Please choose your due date (or nearest available). This will not be the date of your newborn shoot it's just a holding date to make sure you are booked in our diary. Once you have booked we will be in touch to discuss the next steps.
